Horn of Plenty Food Gathering (Now until September 12th)
Our church is partnering with other local churches to help collect food for the Horn of Plenty.  You can help by picking up a box today from the coat rack area, fill it with the needed items on the list, and then bring it with you to the All-City Worship Service at the auditorium at 6:30pm on September 12th.

Change the City (Coin Collections Gathered on September 5th)
Let’s help the Salvation Army do more ministry work and less fundraising.  On Sunday, September 5th please bring in all of your spare change and add it to our collection.  We will then bring it to the All-City Worship Service at the city auditorium at 6:30pm on Sunday, September 12th.

Discipleship Sunday is September 19th
Are you fully prepared spiritually for all God has planned for you this year?  Have you felt the tug in your heart to get into better shape spiritually? Make plans to check out our lineup of classes and discipleship possibilities by stopping by our tables in the narthex and visiting with us.  We’re really excited about all of the new Life Transformation Groups that are starting and what the Holy Spirit will do in and around them.   

 
Norsk Hostfest (September 29 –October 2)
Workers are still needed.  There are still about 3 dozen spots left to fill on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Please stop at the table in the narthex to see what position may be available to fit your schedule.  Thanks for your help!

Food Service Re-certification (8/31, 9/1, 9/28) There is still time for you to get your food service certification.  It is helpful to have several people in our booth and in our food trailer certified in case someone is called away on emergency.  Contact Mark for more information.

“Ministry Opportunities Sunday”, October 3rd
A team of people have worked hard to define all of the various ministry opportunities available for participation by you our church members.  You will now be able to sit down with a ministry mentor and find a place to serve God that uses the spiritual gifts you have been given and ignites passion inside of you.  On Sunday, October 3rd we will be releasing our most up to date complete ministry opportunity listing ever.  Please stop by the table in the narthex and check out the opportunities to advance the kingdom of God. 

“Feed My Starving Children”
You have probably read the bulletin announcements already, but we wanted to encourage you to get with Janet Berg and see what you could do to help with this project.  This is a very worthwhile endeavor that can make a huge impact in the lives of the children who receive the food.  It can literally be the meal that keeps them alive another day!  You can make that kind of a difference in a child’s life.  Please help where you can.  Thanks again!

Alaska Cruise Airfare
This note is to all of you who have expressed an interest in the Alaska Cruise in June 2011.  We have now secured airfare to Seattle from Minot!  The price is good and very convenient.  So, let’s get the word out to everyone we know.  Wouldn’t it be fun to have a group of 40 or more travelling together?
