Men Evangelizing the Nation

The M.E.N.s Group at 1st Presbyterian is a brotherhood of men that have joined together in support of one another on our walk with the Lord. In addition to supporting each other, we work together to support our church’s efforts on a local, national and international basis.  It may be a job like clearing the snow for a church / community member, cooking and serving for thousands at the Hostfest or completing construction projects at the church. The projects we undertake have helped fund missions work from Minot to Kenya as well as support our local friends and neighbors that have a need.

Some activities:

• M.E.N.s Group breakfast every other Saturday morning. An opportunity for the group to gather together to fellowship one with another, worship the Lord and discuss future opportunities to further the kingdom of God.  Cooks report at 6:30 AM and breakfast is served at approximately 7:15 AM. 
• M E.N.s Group Retreat.  Chance to get away for a weekend to worship, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company and all of the wonderful things that God has created. We take advantage of all of the outdoor activities that God has blessed us with in North Dakota.  Ice Fishing, sledding / tubing, hiking, evening bonfires, the best food you will find anywhere and a great environment to celebrate and worship together. The next M.E.N.s Retreat will be Feb / Mar 2010. More information will be forthcoming. 
• Hostfest and Garlic Festival:  Partnership with other ministries within the church to cook and serve at these events. Four days of working together to raise funds for missions work. 
• Other activities have included construction work at the church, supporting church family with specific needs, support other ministries within the church.
